No Beneficial Outcome - Citizens Across the US Express Worries Regarding the Funding Lapse

US legislators from the two parties are accusing one another as many of workers are on uncompensated time off and the shutdown continues with no conclusion in prospect.

Democrats have declined to back the GOP spending plan unless ending healthcare subsidies which they argue many working families depend on are continued.

The Republican Party want Democrats to approve a temporary legislation initially and then they can discuss the subsidies.

A Republican Voter, Forty-Nine, Republican

This Golden State resident is concerned about the broad consequences of the closure on everyday citizens.

The Republicans have fifty-three yeas, they require 60 to pass the bill. Is it really that difficult to reach agreement over a handful of yeas so that the public are protected?

If this persists for an extended period, the bottom line is US citizens are being hurt, US residents are being impacted by this and somebody must take action to be the responsible party in the group.

I think sometimes legislators are so distant from ordinary citizens, the average individual living their lives, so they overlook what the struggle is like and I believe they need to remember that, especially if it's 750,000 Americans that are not getting paid.

That's a large group of Americans without pay, that's a large group of people failing to contribute their income back into the economy. The public are just being hurt.

A Democratic Voter, 22, Democratic Supporter

This Old Line State resident acknowledges this funding lapse will create hardship to many US citizens, but she feels it is a necessary political fight.

I'm anxious because there is no good outcome with the government being inactive.

I'm highly anxious about what's going to occur to low-income families, students who need government grants and federal employees.

But this is a good fight for the Democrats to pursue. Of course employment are going to be lost, programmes are going to go without funding, which is so disappointing but I feel that is blame that the the left would have on their record.

I believe it's valuable to hold out, this is sending a strong message to their voters.

Punal Bhavsar, Thirty-Six, Democrat

This Golden State citizen is anxious the Democrats do not have strategy in their closure strategy.

I question if the Democratic leadership has a roadmap for an resolution path to talks or how to get the group out of this.

I am uncertain if the Democratic Party have a effective message to the citizens on what they're doing.

In terms of social media messaging, the GOP certainly have the advantage. The narrative is not resounding on what Democrats are aiming for.

I'm already at a juncture where I'm kind of nervous because government shutdowns harm everyone.

I'm going to be fine, but for the rest who needs the public services, who hopes to explore a federal park or institution, they're going to be affected, if not currently, then in the near future.

And that is unacceptable.

Jim Sullivan, Mid-Fifties, Republican

This Indiana citizen states Democrats are engaging in partisan games with regular people and their well-being.

This is typical politics. It is a continuing resolution they are trying to approve, that the Democrats don't support.

Everyone's calling it a Schumer shutdown, it's not on the GOP, it's on the Democratic leader, he's acting to remain relevant within his own party - in the meantime, people are in the difficult position.

I do not perceive that this is going to resolve.

The ordinary citizens are caught in the middle, and the left are willing to harm them. They're hurting their reputation any advantages when they truly hold up things like this.

Trey Stewart, Late Twenties, Democratic Supporter

This Sunshine State resident claims the Democratic approach is a difficult but required one and one that touches his sister, who has been placed on leave because of the funding gap.

Democrats' plan is a difficult one, but regrettably it is a required one.

They have failed to do very much to halt or stop the president's priorities.

I agree with their strategy, I endorse their rationale for doing it.

The administration leader is a bully and if you acquiesce to a intimidator he's going to expect further compromises, that's how bullies work. So you have to resist a aggressor to make him recognise you're not going to surrender for nothing.

The juncture when it goes too far is when the Democrats start failing in the public relations war, if the story shifts to criticizing the Democrats then it might be appropriate to end the standoff.

Rom Solene, 64, Republican

This Grand Canyon State citizen is insulated by the shutdown so he is accepting of the halt lasting a while, if that is what it is needed for the GOP to win.

I would think after the time that the left have had, I would have thought that they would have gone along with the temporary funding, at least in the short term.

I am in favor of what the Republicans are pursuing, I'm all for cutting government spending.

The Democrats have turned so opposed of the political leader, no matter what he proposes I feel they would look for excuses to battle him.

I individually am unaffected by the urgency that some people are, this leaves me untouched.

The limited we rely on the federal system - what it supplies for us - the funding gap is not going to impact us {whatsoever|at all|in any
